Members Website
It's here! You may have already noticed the Member Login form in the left colomn of the site. That is where those who worship with the University Church of Christ can login to create, modify, and view some administrative functions of the website. Accounts are currently being created, so if you have not got one yet be patient. If are not sure if you have one or not, click "Lost Password?", enter your username (it's your first name then last name with no spaces, i.e. - johndoe), and if you have an account already setup an email will be sent to you with your new password. If you have any questions click the "Contact Us" link above.
Our E-mail Groups
We currently have two Google Groups available for use, auburncofc and aufun. These groups are designed to keep everyone who worship and work with the University church connected and informed. Their role is to allow group members an electronic "bulletin board" where they can freely post activity announcements (both spiritual and social), prayer requests, classifieds, etc. Now we can also post files and pages. If you consider yourself more a part of the permanent residents, the auburncofc group is for you. If you are in college and like knowing what's going on with the college age group, the aufun group is more for you.

, which most of you are, all you will need to do is create a Google Account. Go to http://groups.google.com/ and click on “Create an account now” and follow the instructions. Then you will need to go to http://groups.google.com/group/auburncofc or http://groups.google.com/group/aufun to login. That's it. Now you can view previous discussions, download various files, create new pages, and more. I'm sure there are many other features we will be able to take advantage of, I'm just not sure yet what they are.
New Google Groups Members
If you are not a member of either Google Group and do not receive the emails sent out by various members, you will need to “Apply for group membership” in order to start receiving the group emails and have access to the Member’s Website. To apply to the

group, go to http://groups.google.com/group/auburncofc and click “Apply for group membership.” Same if you want to apply for the aufun@

Join Both |

Nothing says you cannot join both groups. Just make sure you remember to enter your first and last name in the nickname field when applying so the group administrator will be able to validate your membership. Other than the obvious of wanting to see what's posted to the other group, you may also want to post your file or page to the other group as well. To do that, you will need to be a member of both groups.

How It Works |

Once you've joined auburncofc, aufun, or both there are a couple things you can do.
1.) If you're a member of the auburncofc group or the aufun group, you can send an email to

, respectively, and the rest of your respective group will receive the email. If you have something you want everyone in both groups to read, you don't have to be a member of both groups, simply send your email to both addresses. If you are not a member of the group you send your email to, it will first need to be reviewed by the administrator before it is posted to the group.
2.) If you're a member of the auburncofc group or the aufun group, you can login to http://groups.google.com/group/auburncofc or http://groups.google.com/group/aufun, respectively, and view past emails posted, post new conversations, and post and view files and pages. You will only be able to do these things if you are a member of that group.
